Decorative Difference- Artist John B. Mayes

Artist John B. Mayes has a unique style of applying numerous layers giving the authentic look of true venetian plaster. Many of his projects have included faux finishing and textured wall finishing. The texture, depth, and uncontribed patterns cannot truly be appreciated through photo, but through personal experience.

John B. Mayes has been commissioned for over fifteen years to create custom murals, paintings and sculptures for homes and businesses of his clients.

Custom wood work is another area of John's expertise in the manner of wood carving and antique replication and repair. This antique replica of a nineteenth century halltree started from rough stock mahogany which was plained, shaved, molded, shaped and carved. It was created through a commission for a client via photograph.
